The Roots Will Follow Jimmy Fallon to "The Tonight Show"

One great thing about "The Tonight Show"'s imminent move from California to New York is that the Roots can keep their jobs as Jimmy Fallon's house band once he assumes his new hosting duties. But it hadn't been confirmed that the band would make the jump along with Fallon until now.

In an interview with Fuse (via NahRight), Roots drummer/leader ?uestlove first skirts around the topic, explaining that: "'The Tonight Show' is coming to us; we're not going to 'The Tonight Show'... it's going to be the same show. But that's a year from now," before admitting that: "Yeah, we're staying [with Jimmy]." The switch is scheduled to happen by fall of 2014 at the latest. "

?uestlove refused to comment any further about plans for the switch to "The Tonight Show". Watch the interview:
