Queens of the Stone Age Preview 'I Appear Missing' With Dark Animation

Queens of the Stone Age have unveiled a preview clip for their new track "I Appear Missing," and the new cut is a brooding build of thundering drums and intricate guitar interplay. The visuals are arresting, too: a crow finds a man covered in blood and bandages, then the man rises and floats like a phantasm around the barren, post-apocalyptic landscape. He heads to the city, following highway signs that no longer mark roads. When he arrives, he ascends into the sky, only to tumble down to the ground in a bloody mess.

The full version of "I Appear Missing" will be on Queens of the Stone Age's next studio album, . . .Like Clockwork, out June 4th. The new album features collaborations with Elton John, Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears and original bassist Nick Oliveri. "Nick recorded his new record at my studio, and then he was going to drop off some records and he said 'Hey, need anyone to sing backup?' And I was like, 'Actually, yeah, come on in,'" Josh Homme said last month regarding the reunion with Oliveri. "It was easy. It's nice to know someone since you were a little kid, and still know them."
