The Lonely Island and Alanis Morissette perform “Semicolon” on Kimmel

MICHAEL ROFFMAN/Consequence of Sound

The Lonely Island – aka, Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone — stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night for a rare live performance. In support of their forthcoming third studio album, The Wack Album, the three rolled out a hilarious rendition of “Semicolon”, complete with a setup that took them back to elementary school. And although Solange lends vocals on the actual version, the three nabbed Alanis Morissette for their late night hi-jinx. Whatever you do, don’t miss the ’90s surprise twist towards the end — just sayin’. Replay below.

The Wack Album arrives June 11th via Republic Records. Guest contributors include Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Solange, and many more. Pre-orders are ongoing.
