The World’s Fasted Released Record, a.k.a. Jack White’s “Lazaretto”, has finally been revealed. The new single, off White’s highly-anticipated album of the same name, was recorded, mastered, pressed, and sold in just three hours and 21 minutes during Record Store Day at Third Man Records’ Nashville headquarters.

Al Ford, program director for Edmonton radio station Sonic 102.9, made his way to Third Man to secure his very own copy of “Lazeretto”. In the video below, he recounts his epic journey and plays the song from his vinyl player. (The song begins at the 7:20 mark.)

Following the ferocious instrumental “High Ball Stepper”, “Lazaretto” sees White channeling a bit of ’70s funk rock, adding a new kind of oomph to his gritty blues formula. The full studio version is expected to arrive on Tuesday.

Lazaretto the LP, White’s second solo album to date, officially arrives on June 10th via Third Man.
