Dave Chappelle announces star-studded NYC shows, his first in 10 years

Though he returned to main stage comedy last year, it’s been a decade since Dave Chappelle performed a major standup routine in New York City. His previous shows featured numerous guest artists and musicians and were captured in Block Party, the 2005 documentary concert film from Michel Gondry. Now, Chappelle has announced his first round of NYC performances in 10 years, and they’re set to be one hell of a return (viaPitchfork).

Between June 24th and 26th, Chappelle will play a trio of shows at Radio City Music Hall alongside a cavalcade of guest musicians, including The Roots, Erykah Badu, Janelle Monáe, DJ Premier, and — wait for it — Busta Rhymes. Better yet, each performance will feature a full orchestra, and even more guests are still to be announced.

No doubt tickets will go fast, so get yours while you can. These three shows join four previously announced dates at Radio City from June 18th-22nd, all of which are nearly sold out.

Find Chappelle’s Radio City itinerary below, followed by a clip of Badu at Dave Chappelle’s last trip to NYC.
