Future Islands return to late night on Kimmel

BEN KAYE/Consequence of Sound

After 11 years together as a band, Future Islands saw their notoriety suddenly skyrocket following their appearance on Letterman. Yesterday, the Baltimore synth-pop act returned to late night for the first time since the meme-able Late Show performance. The band supported their new album Singles on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with dazzling renditions of “Doves” and “Spirit”. Watch the replay below.

Singles, Future Islands’ fourth LP, is available now on 4AD. In addition to their upcomingtour dates, the band has secured spots at festivals like Primavera Sound, North by Northwest, Splendour in the Grass, and Boston Calling’s fall edition.

The trio recently sat down with our own Lior Phillips to discuss their current state of their career, the creative processes behind Singles, and twerking (because of course); Check that interview out here.
