Weird Al’s Mandatory Fun Tracklist Reveals Probable Parodies Of Iggy Azalea, Lorde, Robin Thicke

Tom Breihan/StereoGum

A couple of weeks ago, comedy-rock god “Weird Al” Yankovic teased the forthcoming release of his new LPMandatory Fun, which will be his 14th studio album and which may turn out to be his last. All we knew about it was that it would include a perhaps-inevitable Iggy Azalea parody. Yankovic has just unveiled the album’s tracklist, and while it doesn’t specify what songs he’s satirizing, we can draw our own conclusions. The Iggy parody, for instance, has to be “Handy,” right? Similarly, we can surmise that “Foil” is his take on Lorde’s “Royals,” that “Word Crimes” takes on Robyn Thick’s “Blurred Lines,” and that “Tacky” spoofs Pharrell’s “Happy.” These are just guesses, though. And you can make your own projections based on the tracklist below.

01 “Handy”
02 “Lame Claim To Fame”
03 “Foil”
04 “Sports Song”
05 “Word Crimes”
06 “My Own Eyes”
07 “NOW That’s What I Call Polka!”
08 “Mission Statement”
09 “Inactive”
10 “First World Problems”
11 “Tacky”
12 “Jackson Park Express”

Mandatory Fun is out 7/15 on RCA, and Yankovic plans to release eight music videos in eight days, starting 7/14.
