Sleigh Bells and Tink’s new song, “That Did It,” proves that being thrown in the studio together can make for some really magical music.

After sharing the stage at SXSW back in March, the seemingly incongruous acts were asked to collaborate by sponsor Red Bull in a New York studio this past June.

“I immediately thought she was incredibly badass,” Sleigh Bells singer Alexis Krauss told Rolling Stone. “She’s like a firecracker — she has an incredible stage presence and charisma.”

The resulting track from the studio session is an exciting clash of acoustic guitar and kinetic energy, sparked by the opening salvo from the upcoming Chicago rapper.

“You’s a cocky motherf–ker, ’cause you love to run your mouth/ They put me on this track ’cause I run this side of town,” Tink raps.

Krauss then grabs the sonic baton with a flourish of fiery vocals. “You on a real fight tonight, you still living in your own world/ The road isn’t long, but it’s winding/ The future isn’t bright, it’s blinding,” she sings.

“That Did It” is currently streaming and is also available now on iTunes.
